Cooling in OPIO woods – followed by pizza, pool party

Avoid overcrowded beaches, sun drenched vineyards & barren hillsides. Join your hares who have scouted the woods of Opio to offer the pack a maximum of shade to relax & enjoy the natural beauty of our coastal forests.

Opio is a Provençal village in a typical Mediterranean landscape of olive, pine, cyprus, oak trees, heather & other coastal shrubs. And centifolia roses for the nearby perfume factories of Grasse.

As tradition dictates both the longer runners trail & the shorter walkers trail will meet up at the beerstop.  There will be a short drive to the nearby ONON.

Directions to Hash

Driving on A8 east to west exit 47 Villeneuve-Loubet. Follow signs to “Grasse/Roquefort les Pin”. From Roquefort le plan continue to “Le Rouret”. Continue uphill through this village on D2085 to “Giratoire Pres des Roures”.  Take 3rd exit onto D807 direction Opio. Shortly, at the T junction, this road becomes D7. Continue downhill, through Opio village to the roundabout of Font Neuve. Take fourth exit into D3 direction Valbonne. Pass golf course on right & watch for Biere Artisanale just before reaching the roundabout of Coluche. Turn right into first exit off roundabout direction Piccasier. Entry to car park will be on your right.

From A8 driving west to east exit #42 Mougins or #44 Sophis Antopolis/Biot. In either case follow the signs for Valbonne / Valbonne Village & then D3 to “Opio”. At the Coluche roundabout take exit direction Piccasier and turn right into car park.
ONON:  Pizzas from our pizza oven and salads followed by a swim is the generous offer from a mystery hasher living nearby.
