Hashing in the The Calanques – Marseille
The event location is a 19th century chateau on a hilltop surrounded by 8 hectares of park and offers magnificent views of the city including the Rade and its port. The nearby Calanques will be the backdrop for Saturday’s run. in the month of May the weather is perfect*, everything is green, during spring the forests are spectacular and the coastline beckons to be explored.
The third largest city in France, Marseille’s renovation has been extensive. Now fully serviced by an international airport, rapid rail service, metro, tram & bus services exploring this Mediterranean port city is now within the reach of most Hashers.
Fill one registration form below with each participant’s details. Each registration is complete when its fee is received by our Hash Cash.
This fee includes :-
2 breakfasts & a personal single bunk bed for 2 nights
Friday: registration bar, trail, dinner and party.
Saturday: runs, buses transfers, lunch, dinner, evening entertainment/dancing and party.
Sunday: run and closing circle.
Naturally a goodie bag and lots of beer, wine, drinks and camaraderie!

11:00 Hare of the Dog Trail followed by closing Circle. Then optional lunch for those staying on (at own cost).

For those who’ve never tried, it’s never too late in life to sleep in an hostel. Especially one that does not have private rooms. You’ve understood : accommodation in a hostel means shared accommodation.
Although it’s not our expectation to fill 100 beds, this is the price RH3 have paid to reserve the whole hostel. So flexibility will be ours. Meaning we manage the access to common areas including the dance room, reception areas, bars, terraces, camping & recreation vehicle parking areas.
The majority of the rooms are 6, 8 & one 14 bed.
Please indicate on the registration form your preference to share with male, female, both or are a part of a group – & name the group.
We will endeavour to honour your preferences.
The shared rooms are on the two floors above the ground floor. They can be accessed by lift. In this case, specify on registration that you can’t do stairs.
Please note that the accommodation, with breakfast, is in a hostel which means shared accommodation. Both included in your registration fee.
Alternative option : Search out alternative accommodation – at your own expense – hopefully close enough to enable you to join in the merry making, meals & partying that are memories of time spent with away hashers.

Not at all! It is a “Fun run” and walk organised by the RHHH
It will take no more than an hour and will be no more than 10km for the fastest runners and less for the walkers.
It will be set using flour and chalk on the pavement in the normal RHHH manner
The RHHH is the Riviera Hash House Harriers, a social running/walking club that has been operating on the Riviera for over 30 years.
The HHH is an international group of social running /walking clubs started in 1938 in Malaysia.
